About This Seminar
Single Parents Wellbeing Association (SPWA) presents a one-day interactive seminar titled “Balancing Work and Home Front: Do’s and Don’ts.”
This event is the second in a series of impactful sessions designed as part of our advocacy programme focused on improving the wellbeing of single parents.
Participants will gain practical insights on how to effectively manage responsibilities at work while maintaining a healthy and supportive home environment.
Meet the Speaker
Barrister Clara Umeano
General Secretary/Legal Adviser
LL.B (Hons), B.L, LL.M, MNIM, FCArb
Clara Mbachu is the Managing Partner at Luminex Legal Consult, overseeing service quality and client relations. With over 25 years of experience in litigation across State, Federal, and Appellate Courts, she handles disputes in Corporate, Commercial, Property, and Banking Law.
A Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators, Clara also serves on its training faculty and has authored key arbitration materials. She is the Vice Chairperson of FIDA Ikeja Branch, advocating for gender equality and women’s rights.
Clara has consulted for the IFC (World Bank) and GIZ (SEDIN) on business regulation and dispute resolution among MSMEs. She also serves as Company Secretary and sits as a Non-Executive Director on several boards.
